Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

You can also mix it up, do a full side plank and then drop your bottom knee to the floor when you tire. Good form is important.

Video was fine for me. So our mate George says 'technique trumps time', well if that's the case he's not going to get me doing front to side to side without putting my knees down!

He shows the best technique which is switching between front to side to side by rolling between the transitions, but then he shows regressions which include putting your knees down in front plank, knees down during transition and one leg bent during side plank. Think I might be using them very soon!

Ah yes - it would have been a good idea to watch the video first - much simpler doing the Regression Version. ;-)

I survived day 2, and lunchtime yoga today :)
I do think that straight arm planks (like i am used to in yoga) are in some ways easier. My carpet is very uncomfortable on the forearms. And very dirty. I wonder if the cleaning fairies will pay a visit?

Stomach was v. sore this morning and the idea of doing 3 sets of planks continuously is making me wibble! I'm at work now so this will have to wait until I get home.

I'm off to check out the video for the full horror!
