OTOS, that Inch Beach parkrun looks beautiful. The whole course is run on sand? How could one PB on that?! Lovely views. G

Gobi, Andover was a swamp the one time I was there - I thought I had recovered from a chest infection when I started, I soon realised I hadn't!

Parkruns that have sprung up ridiculously close to places I used to live in: Tooting Common and York (both a few hundred yards away); Cardiff Bute Park
Parkruns I have done on disused railway lines: Parke and Jersey
Parkrun next the place I learnt to swim: Torbay Velopark
I agree about Andover, I did it on NYD a few years ago and I sank into the mud.
And the one that got away was Cramond. I was in Edinburgh for my 40th birthday and I just couldn't be bothered to get out of bed, find a taxi or bus and make my way over to it. Also Guernsey, as I was there the weekend before it started

Mine that got away was Burley Griffin in Canberra. We were in Canberra for a weekend and I was due to run the Canberra Marathon on the Sunday. I thought the parkrun would be an ideal Saturday outing. As it turned out, I spent the weekend with a high fever and missed both of these rare Southern Hemisphere opportunities!
Fortunately I was able to "bag" Albert Park parkrun in Melbourne a couple of years later.

I started with touristing as I lived in Central London, but my partner at the time lived in Leeds.
Recent years have been mostly when going somewhere rather than traveling because of parkrun. Like Florence for example. I've done so many courses I've forgotten lots of them.
First one: Leeds Hyde Park (not recorded as it was before barcodes and it was attributed to someone else with the same name), first official Wimbledon Common in 2009 I think.
Most snow: tie between Basingstoke one Christmas and the one where the Stockport 10 starts where the marshal was on skis 😂
Coldest is a tie between South Manchester and Greenham Common both minus 8.
Magpie had to guide run me around one near Chippenham as I forgot my contact lenses when we went to a friend's wedding so I was completely unable to see my feet or the floor.
Local these days is Bedfont which is well worth a visit if you are flying from Heathrow. No cafe, but good bike parking.

Having only ever done Bushy Park, reading all of this, I conclude it is quite a fast course?

Hanneke. Bushy is pan flat and the cavalry charge nature of the start leads to it being fast at least in dry conditions. It also isn't too twisty which helps with maintaining speed
