Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have just put mine on the trolley and pulled it out of the garage. I’ll make up a flask and something to eat and then hope to head off for a few hours.

It would have been perfect conditions for a paddle today but I had noone to take the dog. I went out with a friend on our bikes instead. Lots of people pootling about in the bay when I did the dog walk just now.

Loads of folks in inflatable craft just off the seafront in Arbroath this afternoon. Not sure they were all competent to be there; probably going to be a busy afternoon for the coastguard / ILB. Not all wearing buoyancy aids either.

All the ones I saw had PFDs and it was pretty benign in the bay. There were definitely some newbies out there though.

Took our inflatable kayak along the Lee River Navigation on Saturday, first time it's been in anything other than the Grand Union Canal. Absolutely loved it. As did OH, which is always a bonus. I'm considering getting him a kayaking wetsuit to prolong the length of time he's prepared to continue.
