Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Used it for the first time in a week or so last night - all nice and smooth, yay.

Fetch - no more crashing issues from me on any browser, although it was pretty slow (might have been the time I was doing it). Lots of time looking at the Mac spinning wheel.

Same issue with the message saying my watch had been paused when it hadn't, but from reading back it looks like that is being looked at.

All good :-)

Don't know if this has been asked before (I checked back a few pages but could see anything, nor is it in the list in the header) but I'm getting 0 ascent/descent when importing runs from my 410 with the new page. The "old" page works just fine (as does Sporttracks etc.)

I tried both IE and Firefox and the behaviour was consistent - 0 ascent with the new page, reasonable looking values with the old page.

Am I doing something wrong here? Has anyone else seen this?

Ian - Click the link that says "Route Imported from file - 2013-06-25" when you view the entry. This will bring the elevation data up. Then go back to the previous page and it magically appears.

Ah, I read point 8 as smoothing the data (making the numbers more realistic), not improving the process of getting the numbers in the first place :-)

Thanks Fozzy - I'll give that a go the next time

Ian - In case you are interested, Fetch explained that he disregards elevation data from the import and works it out himself in his post 13006 on Page 24 (so a little more than a few pages ago;-)) http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewtopic.php?id=53983&page=24

About This Thread

Maintained by fetcheveryone
Just a little note to say thanks for all the comments here and via feedback. The test phase was useful for knocking off a lot of bugs, but there's nothing like the thrill of putting something live to really get that usability feedback flowing :-)

Here's the TO DO list following feedback from users:

1) Solution for only showing runs since last update - DONE
2) Links on successful import to allow direct route to edit/view - DONE
3) Avoid reloading data on choosing different time view.
4) Stop people pressing the button more than once - DONE
5) Auto detect sport where available.
6) Fix rogue pace zones (reported by Duchess, MacApple et al)
7) Max speed (for Mick173)
8) Smoother import of elevation data.
