Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

A friend went to see Philip Pullman receive an award at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford last Thursday. This was followed by a Q&A session.
The first question asked was when would BoD III be published. He’s currently on page 500 of about 540, then it has to be edited and hopes to be published around this time next year.

After all the previous hype and speculation I think that I’ll only believe it when I see it! 😀
I’d better start rereading to remind myself what it’s all been about!

I’ve now put my pre-order in with Waterstones.

I’m told that they will be opening early with coffee and croissants on offer.

I'll buy it/read it, but I do hope it's better than The Secret Commonwealth, I felt PP was scraping the barrel if I'm honest.

I must admit that after TSC I’m prepared to be disappointed.

I’ve just finished re-reading The Secret Commonwealth in preparation for the release of The Rose Field, and was slightly surprised by the ending!

I think that on my first reading of TSC I got bored and skim read it towards the end and so didn’t take in some significant events.

Got something to say?
