Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hunts ,the Great Scottish Half in 2014 was c350m long, it was the Great Scottish Run this year that was short. Different races run by different organisations in different parts of the country but with similar names.

Brunski, very frustrating when that happens, especially as runners tend to know when things are suspect straight away. Kudos to the organiser though for the quick reaction. I had to wait months.

Baz - I meant the race that Callum Hawkins won in a Scottish Record. Which he beat again in Tokyo with his blistering 60 minute Half :-0

My 5k times from end of last year suggest

6.59 pace, 10k was exactly 7.15 as was 5 mile, half 7.45, marathon we won't talk about so obviously my aerobic base aint there but I'm working on it.

Doing about 40 mpw at the moment.

My HR stats are getting better HOD. I've banged in a few 50 mile weeks which have made a difference.

HOD - Back before injury I was pretty tight at 5k-10k but then the drift!

5m - 5:57
10k - 6:00
HM - 6:30
Mara - 7:15

I aspire to those times Daz but I'd be happy with

Good stats Daz. Much better than my current PB relationship -

1m - 5:39
5k - 6:01
5m - 6:27
10k - 6:36
HM - 6:49
Mara - 8:16

According to HADD if properly aerobically trained my MP would be 6:39.

Lots of miles to run to get to that point :-)

I think my 5k to 10k is so tight due to lots of speed work and a sprinkling of longer runs. Its the longer stuff I want to crack.

I have never done a out and out mile (done a 3k in around 5:35 pace) but I am guessing my MP according to HADD if properly trained would be somewhere around 6:15-6:20!

I am a million miles from that at the moment!!
