Fragile Do Not Bend
My 5k run/walk plod today has me “Peaking”, apparently due to my reduced training load recently.
I’ve not been running or walking so much as I don’t want my niggly knee to spoil the 15 mile LDWA walk I have this weekend so hopefully my watch is correct.

On Friday Garmin told me to have Rest Day, so I postered about on my bike to get some fresh air at lunchtime. Nothing at all strenuous. When I got home it said I needed 21 hours recovering! This morning Garmin told me to have another Rest Day, so I went for a gentle walk along the local seafront. Flat as a pancake for 3km out and back. When I got home it said I needed 11 hours recovering! I’m evidently a fragile soul.

I stuck my 50k Ultra onto Garmin as a target race yesterday with a target of to finish without an actual time. Supposedly i can do it in 5:38 currently but we'll see. It's got Mondays and Thursdays as rest days and despite being barely over 7 weeks away and saying doing 15-20 mpw with Sunday's as long run this weeks 5 sessions are nothing long. God only knows why it wants me to do a anaerobic one on Friday. Not sure i have even done anything sub 7 in ages but i guess it is only 40 seconds worth and it's got a range with a mid point of 6:25 pace.
I think i'll probably blog it to see what it says and how it acctualy goes.

mine tells me I'm back to productive, all my stats look good
I keep the coach running in the background and will pick one of it's random tempo or threshold runs to do when I feel like it - but it really doesn't know what it's doing!

I flicked back to Productive a few days ago but it's being uncomplimentary about my training load and I think it's revving up for an unbalanced HRV. It spotted correctly that I didn't sleep as much as usual last night, but not the long periods I spent awake.
For the first time, Garmin Coach seemed to approve of two of my training sessions last week. I didn't accept any of its daily suggestions, and on three of the days I ran it recorded a rest day, but Wednesday and Sunday got a tick in the box. It seems to have given today a tick too, even though what I did was nothing like what it suggested.

the only tick in the box I got was last Monday when I started the workout by mistake and ended it five mins into a 75 min run. It had suggested about 90 minutes, I think. Actually, it's odd because I did the 3x7 mins it asked for on Saturday and I don't have a tick for that either

My streak continues
Friday Garmin said rest, I ran. Yesterday run 2:20 it said, I did a hard parkrun (gaining rare VO2MAX benefit) told 26 hrs recovery, went for a 5.5m undulating and brisk for me walk Today run 2hrs damn you! I will run but not that long!

acute load - optimal low aerobic overage. Back to maintaining.
What's odd is that now I'm managing to run more often/consistently garmin 'coach' only set four runs for this week and next instead of the five or six it was doing.

oh, and after saying I haven't done enough high aerobic /anaerobic it's telling me 45 minutes base "to keep your overall training balanced" makes no sense.
