Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

When I had that problem it was because I didn't realise that I'd never fully charged the battery, magically once I did it became loud

There is a way to change the frequency of the tone the beeps use. To do so you have to put it in diagnostic mode, which I think is turning it on with enter held down. Google it and you will find it.

It may also help to clean any gunk out of the holes on the back, but be careful if you do this that you don't pierce the thin waterproof membrane that sits underneath the holes, otherwise the insides of the garmin tend to get very wet when it rains and that isn't very good for them

was bored at work, so...

to change volume: turn on in test mode by holding down enter at the same time ... press mode to get to the beep frequency page ... turn sound on/off with enter button ... change frequency with the scroll button ... power off and it should retain the last frequency used.

simple eh :)

But like Pix I still don't hear my beeps LOL

I needed to get home and to a garmin to answer yours :-P

and....

it works exactly the same in bike mode as in run mode *but* you need to turn it on for each mode individually (via training - training options - auto lap)
