Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

M&S almond butter is yummy! Both peanuts and cashews are discouraged on the plan I'm on, but almonds are good. I've been known to have two or a dozen teaspoons full as a snack.

They literally made me shudder. I'm making sure not to step on the scale until Saturday because if there's a chance that I'm not dropping weight already and I've just been so violated by goji berries, I might think it's not worth it.

I almost fell into my dinner (which I'm sure was slightly against BSD because it included a small sweet potato), so hungry! But you know how food always tastes so much better when you're hungry? Yep, everything else but goji berries :-P

Goji berries always remind me of Gillian McKeith. She was the reason I bought Goji berries, but I didn't like them and decided life was too short to eat nasty food.

"The truth – so unappealing – is that nutrition is fabulously complex, different for everybody and mostly mysterious. We know that if you eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables and do regular exercise, nothing is a superfood. And if you don’t, no superfood will save you." Discuss.

I am at the end of day one and just had to satisfy (yeah right) my grumbling tummy with a glass of milk.

Am just trying to eat less, move more and not ban anything blah blah blah

It's the differing views on what constitutes a balanced diet that makes it complicated.

Most people seem to agree that whole food is better than processed, and too much sugar is bad. Beyond that.... you picks your study and you takes your choice.

This evening I overdosed on macadamia nuts and 85% cocoa chocolate.

I totally agree with the sentiment that one shape of nutrition *doesn't* suit all and am fascinated by the different aproaches. The idea of eating chocolate and almond butter sounds very appealing.

With my approach, both almond butter and very dark chocolate are OK in small doses. However, you really only can manage them in small doses...
