Kirkby Stephen MRT were out last night, I guess they were looking for this poor chap. I no doubt saw the same post about last night's MRT activity as you NE and then I've not long seen the post about Ed too. Always a concern when you see posts like that but more so when it's someone you've known since they were a promising teenage orienteer and you know how capable he is physically and technically. Fingers crossed.

But in general terms and that of a public appeal, if he's found then that's no longer relevant, so the MRT, police, etc, will update family first rather than the public. Frustrating as that will be to people, especially on New Year's Day when PR people are more likely on call rather than directly working.
