Hello folks. Have just been pointed in the direction of this thread by MandyMoo and it sounds like a very good place to be. I’m trying to lose weight and getting back into running regularly.
Today was a step in the right direction because Moo and I went for a little run together this morning. Love having someone to run with and Moo and I haven’t run together for a long time. Next run will be on Tuesday - looking forward to it already

I like this thread, seems like an opportunity to improve form and stuff which has taken a steady decline. A year of caring for Mum after Dad's death, trying to move two houses into one, working and having Grandsons each school holiday has taken its toll. So I'm following you all for inspiration and motivation .

This is a great thread, I've let things slide a bit but today was my Fetch can start again day and it's gone better than expected. A run this morning (run/walk), healthy eating choices made, healthy drink choices (no Diet Coke), did some light weights work this afternoon and have just had a brisk 2 mile walk in the evening sun. Thanks for the inspiration FRU and all.

We’ve had such a great day, kind of doing nothing but also doing a lot. 8 miles waking in the bag, walking catching buses, walking Sea walls, eating fresh seafood
I’m so chuffed to have even more “cans” in here
Small positive steps
As northern (not so slow) coach knows “step hy step”
Northern I’m so chuffed you like the new bead
-water -walking -run what we can run and enjoy it
“Can”. And we will xx

A day of ‘can’ for me, too. Woke up feeling queasy so thought I’d go to the Summer League but not run. Then I changed that to run the first lap and see how I felt, which turned into 2 laps, then 3. At the start of the 4th and final lap I decided to finish even if I had to walk it, but I kept running (with walk breaks through the water station each time). Was pleased with my determination. And then I ran the final lap of the final relay race - we were so far behind that I ran the entire lap on my own and took a bow as I crossed the finish line 😊

Coming in in the very best of style, love that! Great work
We’ve snuck off to the seaside, it’s gorgeous, so much so that we had a moment and booked a room for the night!! Wohoooo. So a nice promenade run done and some sea swimming.. very relaxing
