Fabulous. I’ll have a look as we might be doing the NC500 again next year.

Some amazing adventures to be planned. Sadly I think we are going to sell Vinnie. We were drive camping at in laws last night. We did ask if Ellie could stay indoors with them but answer was no, the have husbands brother and family here including their Malamute and Ellie likes to wander. Malamute slept in the kitchen I was struggling to see the issue (but I think there’s more to this than they’ve said, that she won’t just sleep in the bedroom she likes to go into the lounge and be free to wander) to Gran Canaria may be our last holiday while she is with us. So we got in the van, got sorted and into bed but Ellie wouldn’t settle she was panting so much we worried the stress it was causing her so we gave up and came in the house and slept fitfully on the lounge floor. I had planned over the winter we’d get her in the van for days out, just sat on the drive having a brew or watching th iPad, just to get her more familiar, we didn’t expect her to have been with us in the van last night and I think now she will always associate it with severe stress so its going to be harder to persuade her otherwise. |

That's such a shame, gg. I wonder why Ellie is so anxious when in the van. Stanley is a bit anxious whilst travelling but is fine - enthusiastic even - when the van is parked.

I think she’s old and it’s new to her, she doesn’t really enjoy travelling anymore she twits a lot but then settles. I wondered if it was that she can’t see out but she manages the boat ok and prefers to curl up in the bunk room which is not dissimilar to the van. More time needed to get used to it which I’d have done ahead of this had I known she couldn’t sleep in the house. I just worry she will only have negative memories now. |

If it helps, Poppy who hated the van is getting better with repeated trips. She sits up front with me now (seat belt harness) and I love having her as co-pilot! |
