Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Calor have been short of 6kg bottles since lots of additional demand during the pandemic when we were all ‘holidaying in the UK’. I expect that demand will continue until package holidays are a bit more reliable again.

I managed to pick one up today from a garage in Hathersage - their last one :-)

A lot of the suppliers around here cannot get calorgas to collect the empty bottles they have, let alone replace them

Boffin, yeah, it’s the space that’s the issue. The smallest Calor Gas one won’t fit.

Whilst it is accepted knowledge that Fetchie vans never breakdown... what breakdown cover is being used for motorhomes?
I have only ever had experience of the AA - been a member on and off for more years than I care to think about - however only had a motorhome to consider for the past couple of years or so.... Thankfully breakdown, or more pertinent would be recovery, has not been required so far <Boff touches every bit of wood he can find> - I somehow doubt the AA would recover a luton motorhome? - or maybe they would, it is only a little larger than a regular Luton van?

I use the Caravan Club version of Green Flag (which reminds me, I haven’t renewed this year yet). It covers MoHo specific needs that ordinary car type cover wouldn’t.

Eek! I’ve never even thought about breakdown cover. I think I just assumed that I would call Green Flag. But the comments above suggest that maybe they wouldn’t be impressed?
