Newt shop for me today- there's an ice cream shop that opened last year and I went in today with Marigold. I hadn't realised that ALL their products are dairy free. And because this week has seen Holmfirth turn pink to raise money for a local girl with a rare cancer, all their ice cream today was pink. Pink vanilla, pink mint choc chip, pink chocolate. You get the idea. Very nice it was too.

Today's newt was noticing the first green fuzz on the bushes. Not sure what they were, but bright green fuzz is always a delight to see

My newt today was that I ironed several sheets and duvet covers. I can't claim it as a completely new thing because I probably have done this before but not in a very long time and not something I would be in a hurry to repeat. But it is done even if you would have to look very closely at them to notice that they were in fact ironed rather than un-ironed!

New journey this morning: off to Paddington Rec (track) for a very short session. It will take far longer to get there than to do my reps.

I am off to the council dump with a car full of builders stuff. The culmination of yesterday's tidy away the cr@p from the builders. Actually, they have been pretty good and using almost exclusively sustainable materials, most of the rubbish has been timber offcuts that now fill my log store. This is largely offcuts of plasterboard, backerboard, bits of metal trim from the roof and, bless them, MDF from a friend I didn't need or want but didn't have the heart to send him back with it and reels of power cable that are light cables, not power, sadly... Also from a friend... Anyway: I have never been to the dump before: NEWT Outside Spring Clean: NEWT Everything being washed clean by the rain: it feels NEWT

I may come home with some NEWT books later too: treating myself to the bookshop when driving all the way to Hereford!
