Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ellie looks lovely, gg.
Love the newt name, Jelly.

My newt is test knitting a different newt pattern using newt stitch. Beanie Boat Nici is a great pattern designer. It's very easy but so effective.

Yay! Two more weeks of Newting!

Not seen/done anything newt yet today... But the plan is to go for a walk tonight, as it is now light enough long enough, with the still newt poles. That will be a nice newt :)

Yes, it's a lovely colour! I did knitting as a skill for my DofE bronze and knitted a baby cardigan for my pregnant form teacher in the same colour.
Jelly shoes! Aka crocs for the 1980s :-)

That’s a pretty pattern GM. I used to knit loads when I was young wouldn’t know where to start now.

I recall many years ago here on fetch a number of fetchies were knitting socks. I bought everything including gorgeous yarn but couldn’t get my head around it at all.

I've been a bit short of newts recently, although I did see a goldfinch yesterday for the first time in years :)

I'm a bit disappointed with one of my earlier newts though. You may remember that I set up a bird feeder on the outside of my office window. It has had no visitors at all yet and it's been there about 3 weeks :(

Oh, that is very disappointing! Is it high up?

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
