Question

David often tells off-colour, racially based jokes during team meetings. Sally, David's colleague, finds the jokes very offensive and doesn't think they are funny. David believes his jokes are a way to 'lighten the mood' and he doesn't intend to offend anyone.

Is the following statement true or false?

David's jokes are acceptable because he doesn't mean any harm.

[I'm not quite sure what target audience might think that this is OK, so clearly someone believes that we're all imbeciles]

[I found that the answer was always 'report it to your manager', unless the question was about your manager, when the anawer was 'report it to HR'.

But to the above, I think the anser is 'No. The statement is crass.' ]

[I've just discovered that as well as a 'Policy for Policies and Procedures', we also have a 'Policies and Procedures Procedure' :-0 ]
