Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Amazing - Sabrina is now 23 minutes behind Paul T's time

(http://live.opentracking.co.uk/pault19/) due to barely pausing before Souther Fell (SV: 110H 39min, PT: 110h 16min). Looks like a bit of backtracking there? Not a fell I know.

I think that looks like someone with good local knowledge of the fell that knew a more direct route up to the ridge. But not a fell I know either, so could have been a error.

The first time I tried to get off Little Mell it was a nightmare, a real maze of nasty, spikey gorse. We did it relatively recently as part of a circuit around Gowbarrow etc and found a much nicer way off, but as flanker says I expect someone who knew a way round all that stuff must have lead her off the fell. Great Mell is straightforward, doesn't have the same problem.

Paul was certainly helping her Weds night/Thurs morning from Kirkstone to Troutbeck. So more than likely Gus is spot on. It's the way it works. The attitude was summed up when Jasmin paced Es Tressider on the last leg of his record breaking Ramsay last year when he broke her record by 81 seconds (she had in turn been paced during her record round by Jon Ashcroft whose record she took).

Paul's strava shows where he was yesterday - with others mentioned I don't know of

I'm sat next door to the OOld Crown in HN, will wave at the top of High Pike from here later

If she was open to random smiling and waving support, I'd drive down to Roundhouse and give her a cheer.
