Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Ashby has been cancelled due to the weather forecast, amber warnings in the area, I'm gutted :(

Been out for 5 miles today but already struggling with the motivation to go out for a long run (plan says 18) tomorrow.

Hope the weather has cleared up for everyone and we can all get back out again. With rugby called off I went out this afternoon and ran my longest mileage to date, 19.5 miles in what felt like sweltering heat. in reality it can't of been more than 10 degrees. It's my penultimate long run before tapering begins, things are starting to get real now!

Great running Matt Enjoy the taper!!

I had a full on stop for my taper thanks to a poorly foot. Mildly concerned for Saturday but I’m sure I’ll get round.

So I’ve had 10 days of no running this week all early nights and eating well and I’m bloody shattered what is that about??

2 more sleeps!!

Well done GG - good luck and fingers crossed!

My mileage has plummeted at the moment and I’m feeling a bit stuck. I’m sure things will get better but at the moment everything feels sore and I’m not sure what exercise I can do without aggravating things. So frustrating! It was all going so well. Hope I don’t lose too much fitness. May try some core stuff this evening and see if I can manage that.

Matt well done
GG Good luck sure you can do it

Pen get well soon

I have done no running this week and most of last, due to much snow bad weather and I had my eyebrows tattooed on Monday which means I have to not sweat until the weekend! Normal service will resume Sunday with Wakefield 10k and back to GNR training next week. I just want to plan something and it not change due to bobbins weather roll on spring.

Oh Pen I’m sorry to hear this hope you’re fixed soon.

Tattooed eyebrows Nutso - is this the first time you’ve had them done? Cool indeed.

Well one more sleep here. Bloody foot is very painful but once I’m moving it feels ok. My plan has been adapted to finish it and to enjoy the journey. Everything is charged and ready to go just a small matter of me getting a decent nights sleep, some good carb loading and hope the weather is kind.

Thank you for all the support and good wishes I’ll be in touch.

Happy weekend to you all.

All the best GG and Svrunner this weekend. I should have been doing the Kent Circuit Marathon tomorrow but, after one year, they seemingly weren't capable of putting on something to Kent Roadrunner standard. Mustn't grumble as that's water under the bridge.

Looking at a longish taper tomorrow instead of doing a hilly half-marathon that starts not far from the bottom of my road. It'll be my first SVN event next week which I am really looking forward to.

Thank you Phil I’m all ready and raring to go!!

Good luck tomorrow SVRunner I may be somewhat sleepy in the morning.

Sorry about your lost race Phil but enjoy your taper. The race next week will be amazing! I was very tempted but we’re away for Easter.
