There's been a bit of action here recently, sorry to hear about the injuries and hope everyone gets fit soon.
I've had a rubbish week or so life with barely any running, not through injury though either weather, life or lack of motivation (created by weather/life!!).
Hoping to get back on it this week as less than 4 weeks to London now!

Hally if it’s any consolation a few weeks out of dark skies I lost the plot I put it down to having a cold but really the cold gave me the excuse to stop. I think your body gets tired so don’t beat yourself up.
SVRunner how was Colchester?
I’m all plastered up with a fracture to 2nd metatarsal the Doctor was really good he also said that it was likely an historic stress fracture (so I was probably right in 2012 when I suspected a SF but docs didn’t agree or x-ray) and he said now it’s broke that it should heal fully and may go back to better than it was prior fingers crossed.

Hi all, had a bit of a disaster since beginning of February all in all. My old shoes were giving me shin splints so more or less stopped running. The shoes I got off ebay turned out to be the wrong size, US instead of UK, and then couldn't find any Clifton 3's anywhere at all. By this time the bad weather had hit and then started to feel unwell. Decided to go to doctors, very unlike me, and after a 2.5 hr wait he said he thought I had vertigo. Luckily I have felt alright since but by now I had completely lost my running mojo. Then the week before Colchester I finally succumbed to the cold that everyone else seemed to of had at some point this winter and just to top it off I have a really painful verucca on the ball of my foot which just won't go away. It was touch and go whether I was going to run colchester half right up to an hour before but the thought of missing out on the medal got me to the start line. Revised my target down to 2hr 10 mins about 10min miles. Weather was perfect, just enjoyed the run. Stuck to my plan, the last 3 or 4 miles were tough but gritted my teeth and finished in 2hrs 9 mins. Suffered a bit for the rest of Sunday and Monday but feeling a lot better today so glad I decided to run it. My next run is Colchester 10k as Bromley 10k sold out, think I will have a couple of easy weeks to recover before building up for the 10k.
GG hope you recover soon.
Now the lighter evenings are here and the weather begins to improve I'm sure we will all find our running improving and getting easier 😀🏃🏻🏃🏻

Well done SVrunner! Sounds like you’ve had quite a few challenges.
It’s tough keeping it all up sometimes Hally.
Heal quickly GG!
I had some acupuncture yesterday for my back/hip. I need to calm down the irritated nerves. So I’ve never had acupuncture before and had no idea what to expect. I certainly didn’t expect it to mobilise my lower back to the extent that it did - more mobile than it’s been in years! I’m hopeful that it’ll help (with a general trying to let everything settle down and some neural mobilising).

Wow SVRunner that is certainly a few challenges we’ll done for making the start like and seeing it through. Us runners are made of tough stuff aren’t we!
My foot nearly had me back at hospital yesterday it swelled right up that cast started to feel tight and had pins & needles. Got it elevated and iced and it brought it back in control. Sleeping is proving difficult I just cannot get comfortable and it’s making my knee ache. Hopefully I’ll get used to it in the near future.
Pen many years ago I had an illness and as a result I was unable to walk more than a few hundred yards due to pain, we tried many thing then the consultant sent me for acupuncture and it changed my life. When we got married I was able to walk from the hotel to the anvil myself and we walked loads on honeymoon too. I honestly expected that we’d be able to leave the hotel grounds. Glad it’s showing good results for you so soon too.

Oops over excited there. Happy Easter everyone. Hope you have a lovely extended weekend with your families and the weather is kinder than forecast so you can get out eh ning/enjoying the great outdoors.
Have a fabulous time at the RAF 100 SurreyPhil.
We were supposed to go to the boat last night but my foot has stopped play (oops) as we can’t really go anywhere on it as to so so will mean minimum mile walk into town and the forecast is miserable anyway, so we are going to head down tomorrow and do a few jobs to get her ready for the season and possibly go for a day trip up the river. I need to learn to drive is so A can jump off to Moor is up (should be interesting) esp if we end off gong into a lock!!
