Notes & Comments

Was a little bit nervous about this one. Hardest run since Feb and longest one as well
Plan was easy to Rother valley 1 lap anti clockwise of lakes (just under 3 miles) at HMP, 3 mins recovery 1 lap clockwise at HMP, 3 mins recovery then 1 lap clockwise at MP. Decided that a sensible Half Target at present would be 1:35 to 1:40 and a marathon of 3:15 to 3:30. Giving me target paces of 7:15 to 7:38 for the half sections and 7:27 to 8:01 for marathon sections whilst trying to run to feel and HR zone. Easy run home at a pace that would help recovery.
I also wanted to see if doing this session in my racers would cause any problems with Achilles

Pleased with how the run went all 3 race pace sections within range pace wise and HR zone. No problems with Achilles (or hamstring that went last time I tried to do some work at HMP). Did apply a bit of Ibuprofen gel to Achilles after run just in case.

Yes Achilles a little stiff this morning but not painful and will ease as I get moving
