Yes we work on the 4 feet on the ground thing too. Admittedly I bend right down to say hello to her so she doesn't need to jump up.Trouble is people we meet when we're out aren't quite as obliging ![]() |

Me too. Ironically it's other dog lovers that are the worst problem - they say 'oh I don't mind - hello beautiful - who's a lovely girl then smooch smooch!' etc, therefore encouraging her wicked ways.

Sorry for the delay everyone, been one of thise days - but I did have work colleagues saying how cute Gadget was and we haven't picked him up yet ![]() dreamcatcher.org.uk Dreamcatchers is the name of the breeders were we got our first husky from, they are very 'dog friendly' and have become good friends to us. |

Ooh lovely markings! he already looks huge - how old will he be when you get him? Do you plan to rally (or whatever the correct term is) with him? Spent some time this afternoon pushing canes and netting into the hedge to stop up any gaps. I let Flossie out into the garden, and as if by magic she slipped through a ridiculously tiny gap into next door. ![]() |

Thanks LD, he'll be 18 months old and we're told loves running. The breeder wanted to keep him herself but she's got ME (I think) and having to start regular hospital visits. We don't plan to rally him but as both the wife and I run we're thinking that he'll like that. Our first was a bit of an escapologist lol, the fun days plugging gaps in every garden for every relative we visited.

I'm not sure I approve of tying dogs up but when Leah was very little we had her on a long lead tethered in the garden as our hedges were unreliable. We did go out and stay with her in case she got tangled up. She was soon old enough not to care so much and to come back once called so could and does go in the garden on her own. (Being a GSD she doesn't like being out there on here own so goes out with the cats and then stands at the back door waiting to come in again).

Hello... just found this thread ![]() Max is now 8 weeks and 2 days old... had his first set of jabs today. He understands 'No' and comes when I call his name, and he seems to know what he's taken outside to do, but still prefers to do it in the warm indoors ![]() |
