Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Wanda loves anything smelly to roll in too. If she is off the lead and I call her she will sometimes come to me, but as soon as I have said 'Good Girl' and given her a treat she goes back to continue rolling in the smelly thing :-o

Congratulations Dave! I know Phoebe has been the hardest work of your two rescues... and two dogs together can sometimes form an unholy alliance!

D - you and Briony may well surprise yourselves. You KNOW she can heel beautifully round the farm .., it can take a while when there's added distractions, but I have no doubt you'll get there. :-)

'Heel' is the official term I suppose but 'with me' and 'headUP' have been known to work with Jess - especially when she was determined to do her bloodhound nose to ground impression!

Our Jess isn't a particularly obsessed Mad Roller although Raffo tells me she is partial to Dead Mouse. What she DOES like is fresh mown grass. Weh-hey joys of spring!

The issue for our two hasn't been the dogs, they've just been dogs, but is how we've treated them. Before the training started we could do sit, wait, leave etc but the main turning point has been the behaviour modification. Which has meant changing what they can and can't do in the house. We were lucky with Cookie that with a bit of training his good behaviour happened. We expected the same with Phoebe and got it wrong, we just waited a while before asking for help. When I think to what Phoebe was like when we got her......

Well done Dave! It is nice when it all starts to come together and you actually enjoy your dogs.
