Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I saw a greyhound very similar to that running along the beach. It was pure joy!!

Ernie is a bit put out by the decorating activity over the past few days. He has mostly been able to be in the room with me but was a bit lively this morning and got banished. I was a bit anxious doing the window sill as he likes to sit on there or jump up to shout at passersby.

Poor Ernie has been a bit unwell. He was sick on Friday but I thought nothing of it as he sometimes eats something he shouldn’t and well you know. However since I left for work Monday he’s had a very upset stomach. QP came home to poo on the kitchen floor and spare room carpet yesterday afternoon. He then woke up to the full works in his crate this morning. We think he hasn’t really been drinking either. He also has a small lesion (?) on his nose which has me worried.

No vet appointments on the website until 9th. Does this count as an emergency?

I’d phone the vet and let them know he’s not drinking. I’d expect that should push him up the waiting list? Hopefully he’ll pull the same trick that toddlers do, and be back to his usual self the minute he’s seen!

Yes, dehydration would count as an emergency in my vets book, I'm sure.

Called vet and they are seeing him tomorrow at 8:30 mainly because he’s not drinking. Thanks folks.

Now for the next dilemma. He’s not been fed since yesterday morning and is clearly wanting fed. Forgot to ask if I should give him anything to eat. Thoughts?

Do you have any plain boiled rice or some chicken you could poach for him? Something that will not stress his gut too much but will make him feel fed?

Coincidentally QP made a huge pot of rice for our curry. I was thinking of that with some chicken.
