We did our usual evening walk along an old railway line which is now a footpath. He was chasing a stick at the turn around point (so as far away from home as we were going) and suddenly yelped and went down like he'd been shot. He kept trying to walk and then stopping and fussing at his back leg/tail and looking very sorry for himself. I checked him over and found nothing but he just refused to walk - except when 2 lovely ladies ran past. I had to carry him most of the way home (13kg I think). Next day he was fine. I found out a couple of days later that a local dog walker had been swarmed by wasps at the same spot. Putting 2 and 2 together I presume he had been stung by a wasp.

This is assuming the card is correct - and there's a good chance an earlier date than was actually true was told to the original owner in order to get the puppies sold before Christmas Battersea had thought she was younger than they'd been advised when she was brought in..... ANYWAY ... we count today as her birthday even if we are perhaps a few weeks early. She has had a special breakfast and there is a liver cake defrosting in the fridge! As with the Royal Family a selection of special birthday photos may be released later today
