Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Awwww, Murphy! heart

I had a few looks on Soulmates again, and allthough I spot nice profiles, I have absolutely no inclination to pay for a subscription and start writing to them. I think I am going to hide my profile again. Whatever I do, I keep meeting/attracting nutters :(

Did Murphy approve of Dave#3? (Was Dave#3 fly enough to take some dog biscuits with him?)

No biscuits, Dvorak; liver treats is the thing. Home-made and the dog may even switch allegiances.

Murphy didn't really pay much attention, too many interesting smells and no biscuits on him.

i joked that i coulda been stepping out with Fred West and the dog wouldn't have cared!

as for last night's date.. well it never happened.

He messaged about 6 and said he was still at work, might be a little late.

So after 7 I was all ready and having a glass of wine, and waiting to be picked up, and he messaged again, still at work....

then 830, then i kinda gave up all hope when it got after 9. I ordered a chinese and drank the rest of the wine!

He messaged late on, and again this morning and was still dealing with the fall out from whatever it was.

I'm trying to be mature about it, when actually i feel like sulking!

Sulk if you want to Maz.

At least he has messaged you this morning, so still hope?

Hmm, I think I’d be suspicious too. I’d be prepared to give someone the benefit of the doubt the first time, but would want assurances it wouldn’t be a regular thing.

My potential date for Saturday has told me his son may have flu. As I’ve just got over a bad cold and I’m going away next week I’m not prepared to risk catching it. We’ll review the situation tonight/tomorrow but might be wisest to postpone.

I would be suspicious too Maz, what a shame, but it could be genuine, as he has messaged twice again about it, so I would give him the benefit of the doubt, but he would have to prove himself!

Meg, his kid 'may' have flu? I'd steer clear of gthat one too...

Mind, I have just been to pick my stuff up from L and... he strangley had packed the table leg into a carboard box, with... the address label of Viki on it, and he handed it to me in such a way that I HAD to see it. Manipulative to the umpteenth degree. Heather was there to diffuse any situations that would arise, I only said the absolute minimum to coordinate my stuff being loaded. He then pulled on my sleeve but I ignored it and hopped in the van. Heather said he look really sad an forlorn. Well, tough!

I parked the van round the corner and we went for a walk around town, bookshops etc... Bumped into Action Man and one of our neighbours, had coffee in the sun with them, outside, and I bought some treats. Nothing like girlfriend company and some retail therapy! A beautiful vase, chocolate covered waffles, and a bottle of Jura single malt hmmmmm :)

Now I can banish him to the undercroft of my memories and move on! Oh and bonus: he gave me back the expensive Xmas gift I gave him! Woop! (2 titanium travel cups)

Oh and I bumped into a lovely woman I met last September, and lost her contact details, so so glad to have made contact again :) Got her number, so will see her again soon. She is a landscape architect with a great interest in medicinal plants and permaculture :)
