I hope that anyone else undergoing fertility treatment is having success. We just heard that our round of IVF was unsuccessful. Although it isn't a surprise (our odds were never great, and I only grew two follicles, only 1 egg fertilised, and it grew/divided slowly), I am still feeling sad. |

What a journey though! There’s so many things people don’t talk about when it comes to infertility! Science is an amazing thing but still … the emotional side of everything, every ache, twinge making you feel like something hasn’t worked . I’m also reacting to the progesterone suppositories so have the most distended stomach, constipation, skin rashes and more 🤣 such a glamourous time ! And when my husband said he was feeling tired I nearly punched him ! 🤣 We have chosen not to tell those around us at home and just get our heads down and try and get through it so it’s nice to be able to reach out online but still. I also didn’t realise is was a postcode lottery. In Winchester, the age limit is 35 for NHS help. In Easy Lindsay for example I would get support until nearly 40 🤯 Sending big hugs Jenelopy!! It’s a very big rollercoaster and not a particularly fun one either!! |

I hated the progesterone too. I always thought I was quite a practical mater-of-fact kind of person. I was surprised at how much emotions were involved, even for me! The cocktail of hormones definitely doesn't help, and neither does our culture of not talking about fertility and infertility. Thinking of you @B-Lass |
