Surely it is more like a holiday than unemployment? Edinburgh is a great city to be on holiday. You can be a tourist for a week :)

Or Leisured Classes, as I like to say :)

I quite often use buses, always an entertaining experience I find :)

The Bus Eireann to Dublin is my link to many a gig and sporting event, thank goodness. It's a bit far to cycle.

There will be some touristing over the week. One advantage of the accent I can still get away with it! Though at the moment, the current tourist influx is Chinese and I don't think I can pull that one off. Spot the tourist wasn't very challenging today, no local would be foolish enough to consider that the end of April was a suitable time to go out in summer clothes and bare legs.

I am lucky that the village is on a bus Eireann route from Donegal to Dublin Airport. Other than that we have a regular bus service to Enniskillen - it comes every Thursday!

I used to live somewhere like that HF - regular bus service on market day to the local town (ninety minutes via a dozen hamlets each way).

Bare legs! I was at Croke Park on Saturday and had a thin fleece, a medium fleece, a hoodie and a waterproof coat on and I was still shivering.

Yes, once a week a bus goes from the next village, 1 km away, to Abergavenny. Out in the morning, back in the afternoon, market day. The nearest bus stop with a regular service to Hereford and Abergavenny is 7 kms away, by which time one may as well cycle to Abergavenny (16 kms/10 miles).

Hereford is 20 miles, but I have been known to do that quicker on a bike than in the car. Depending on where you have to be in hereford, getting from 'my' end to the hospital for example can easily take 30/40 minutes for the 2 miles :-o
