The Old Railway Trail parkrun in Llangollen has a caravan park at about the halfway point. Quite a new parkrun and it can be really muddy but it's a nice run and Llangollen lovely to visit afterwards. parkrun.org.uk |

Hill Farm campsite is good for Wendover Woods parkrun, which is a very nice, picturesque, single-lap course, with a couple of hills and some mud if it’s wet. There’s access to the woods through a field, and it was 20mins walk to the start of the event. Really nice cafe afterwards, with a discount on the day if you show your parkrun barcode. Google Maps shows a route along the main road into the woods and the event, which would be quite a longer to get there. The permitted route via the field from the campsite is quicker. The site itself has eHU pitches for 7 or 8 vehicles, which is what we used. Plus a large field for other vehicles or large tents, and another field that seemed to be for smaller tents. |

1.5 miles along off road route on tarmac "park roadway" within the extensive Bute Park/ Pontcanna Fields on the banks of the River Taff. Very easy access to Cardiff city centre as well. A flat as a pancake course that attracts about 800 participants.

Alton Water campsite is now open for the summer season (open from Easter till the end of half term). When we move to our summer course (any week now) you'll be able to watch us setting up the finish funnel etc from your tent/van and will be able to hear the first timers welcome from there too. We are on the winter course still at the moment so it's approximately a 30 second walk to there ![]() |
