Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm watching the BBC 'Secret Life of Cats' programme and find myself admiring cats and their cunning ways. The greatest con trick ever performed on the human race was to think it would be a good idea to let these creatures into our homes.

I'm allergic to them too and I just don't trust them! Still, I was almost conned into letting one into the house the other night, I felt sorry for it, it only had half a tail and a very plantiff wail.

The stray/feral/farm cat who used to visit us and was called Bitey Face would bring us voles and shrews. I had quite a collection of them. Bitey Face would come in to sit in front of the fire and have a bite to eat and would usually end up being unceremoniously thrown back out after it had suddenly attacked you for no reason!

My old cat often brought live birds in to play with...

My cat, Amadeus, has brought home a steak. I'm now scared to answer the door, in case one of my neighbours complains that their dinner has been stolen.

Useful sort of cat! Self-sufficient, and hopefully pretty sneaky if he has a taste for high value burglary. ;-)

Why bring me anemones and sing the song of "look, look, how clever I am. I brought you a mouse at 03:00" - why do that if you are going to eat the damn thing before I can get out of bed to do something about it?
