Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Maybe if there’s any issues on the survey you can barter the price down a bit?

Good news that you have somewhere RS and things are moving forwards.
Down here the prices are doing the opposite to Bristol and we have had to drop our price quite a bit. It's not just us, Roghtmove is full of reduced prices. Finally got an offer yesterday. Unfortunately there is nothing that is ideal for us on the market at the moment, but stuff comes on every day. I'm seeing one today that I think I will love inside but doesn't have a garage for all the bikes. There were a xouple of perfect properties a few weeks ago, fingers crossed something comes up soon.

Any news B?

Mine is progressing at a slower rate due to the refurbs but that's fine.

The flat is next to a commercial garage and MOT centre. The solicitors will run an environmental report but I'm slightly concerned about possible groundwater contamination. Anyone know if that could be an issue? I want to grow veg in the garden. :)

Fingers crossed here, waiting for the results of searches and have just answered some questions for the buyer's solicitors. It's just waiting and hoping!

So the developer for the sellers new house is possibly going into administration, so she will (most likely) lose her 25% deposit and we need to start looking again...

Proof that things do eventually work out - after nine months of struggling through a morass of legal red tape, son2 and GF finally completed and moved into their new house last week. I think we were all beginning to think it would never get sorted out and the entire chain (four links) were immensely patient to keep the chain intact, but it's done and my son is thrilled with his new place. We visited on Saturday, and it's going to be a smashing home for them. Once some work's been done ;-)

Great news LD.

I feel really sorry for our seller, she's getting on a bit, although currently fairly fit, so this was going to be her "forever" home, and now everything is up in the air after multiple delays from the developer. She might have lost something like £25-30k.
