Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Woo and Dio, I'm so happy you had fabulous runs and that you shared them. I had another fabulous run today, managed to find a couple of miles of dappled shade in a very green corridor of trees, cow parsley and a bit of wild garlic. Had 7 miles on the schedule and felt as good in the last mile as the second (first mile is always clunky and uncoordinated). Kept largely to my hot-as-hell run walk intervals - think I'll be there for a while!

Up early to meet my friend for a 6am run. She recently lost her mum, we are both a little bit injured, it was the virtual Blaydon Race, she hasn't ran much over 3m lately so it was slow and steady and a lot of talk about her mum and arrangements etc. She thanked me at the end and we agreed we both loved it.

Gutted though I forgot to take our race selfie.

Various niggling injuries this year - but finally managed my 1st 10k of the year (well with a few stops and some chatting etc!)

Not sure I’d call today’s run fabulous but I did my last long run before race to the Castle ultra so getting to this stage relatively unscathed (I have a mild injury) I’m pleased about.

Out for a late evening run on the longest day just about 2 minutes from home and I saw the sun setting over the farmers fields. (Also saw the sunrise from work this morning during my night shift)

I actually had the motivation to get up and go for an early run and was rewarded with a new set of teeny tiny fluffy ducklings on the river :)
