One thing I may have missed comments about, but if not....
For me one definite way the race was better last year was that.... last year the drink station had bottles. I'm not usually bothered about water, especially on a 10k. The 3 laps I did out of the mid day heat, I didn't bother with the drinks station. But those other 2, my 1st and last, were a different matter.

After spending the weekend seeing what we runners do it looks like my dad is going to join a gym and a walking group with the aim of maybe doing a couple of laps next year.
