Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Has been rather shit this year hasn't it, although I should not complain as I have gained two gorgeous grandchildren whom I wouldn't change for the world, even though our contact has been limited, we did have both of them yesterday, at different times, hopefiully we can play with them again in 4 weeks time

Yes Phil having our first grandchild last month has been a real joy, and I'm dashing down to Devon tomorrow to have a cuddle before lockdown starts :-)

That's awful, Daisy. You may not have been close, but I think you had quite a bit of communication re your mother's final years.

A big age gap between siblings doesn't have to translate to distance. Bruv and I are close despite a nearly 14 year gap. Though this may be because there's no-one in between.

I appear to be about to hit another landmark: 700 miles of... walking.

I probably won't make the 700 miles of cycling and definitely won't manage 700 swimming miles!

After Optimistic October (which, to be fair, it was, right up until last night) what's our title for November? No No No November?

My Half Marathon, which I was hoping would go ahead, has been postponed to 2021. I wonder if the medal and T shirt have a date on them? ;-)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
