Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

I've stayed there. Enjoyed it. There's a bar/restaurant onsite that I enjoyed.

Had an issue with the van. I decided it was a good time to update the firmware on the controller, which controls all electrics in the van.

It was not a good time.

The parts of the controller that connect to the lights, water pump, tv and a few other 12v things is no longer connected.

Still have heating, thankfully. The sockets are also working, so can charge tablets and phones.

Oops.

The Moho is on the drive. It’s partly packed for an overnighter tomorrow in the Peak District (or so is my plan…).

Thanks we have used a local dog trainer in the past we may go back this route if a few trips to the beach doesn’t pan out. As she isn’t happy travelling in general it may help with that anyway.

Have a great time those getting away and hope you get yours sorted ronnie n

Didn't actually stay out in it, just used for transport while OH was using the car.

Still, thought this looked cool...

@Ally-C just had takeaway. Very good. Enjoyed it. Sat in the bar with the dog for a drink while we waited on it being ready.

Any recommendations for park ups in the Peak District mid January please? We’re arranging to meet up with a friend and will probably stay over either Friday or Saturday night.

We usually wild camp in Scotland as we like the flexibility to be able to get away early in the morning to do some photography, but that’s not necessarily a consideration this time.

We can be self sufficient, but it’s nice to have a loo and maybe somewhere to eat nearby.

Castleton, Peak District. I’ve usually stayed in the caravan club site here but it was full. I’ve wanted to try this spot for a while. At the moment there’s a lot of passing traffic but I’m hoping it will quieten down when all the walkers disappear back home.

Toilets are a mile or so walk away, so maybe not practical for you, @TheScribbler but I’m rather happy with this as a location for me.
