Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Normal People. The Book.

I really wanted to like this, I like Connell and Marianne. But I don’t believe any of the relationships in that book.

Connell and Marianne would be clinging to one another for dear life from the moment they first got together. Jamie, Lucas et al would never have happened.

I absolutely love that book, Dipps. Have forced it upon many people including my mum - which explains why I now have a hardback copy in both London and Hastings. Hope you’re enjoying it. X

Disagree with Dio and Linds. Love Normal People and think telly adaptation is good so far.

It’s very good on sporting obsession Sharkie, I’m thinking I might read it with c9 when we’ve finished toiling through lord of the rings.

On which note Shadowfax has finally had a mention so I could show her pictures of various memes with ducks on the “Run Shadowquacks. Show us the meaning of haste” theme. Educational ;-)

Something I’ve always meant to read, but never have, unlike Normal People which I’ve now read twice and watched a tv adaptation of trying to work out what the fuck is supposed to be so good about it.

Ah well, if you don’t get it, just forget it.

Toiling, trudging, trapsing, tra-la-la-ing all useful to describe the dutiful reading of LoR. I pretended to love it in my mid teens. Well, it 'was' the 1960s.
