🤣🤣🤣 @HappyG(rrr) ! I'm trying not to be that person, @Windsor Wool, and staying positive. (I have prefaced a few comments with "If you want the view of an old fart...." though!) |

Interview went well I think. I actually started to get excited about the role. There could be life in the old girl yet! Let’s see. Thanks for your support |

@HappyG(rrr) What’s more frustrating to me is raising issues and finding those in senior roles are unable to do anything about them. Some of our contractors have been even more blunt than me at times. The problems are known and appear to be just accepted. I have now turned 57 and that feels like a good age having hung on for two more years than I had to. I am off this week and getting a feel for non working life. I just need to decide when, which currently be when the annual bonus is announced next spring. Then it will be a long three months. |

Glad it went well Scribbler Had a chat today with someone I haven't seen since I gave up work. He asked about my old boss and when I said I hadn't spoke to him at all in the 3.5 years since I left, he said I am not surprised he was a right t***. Not just me then 😂 |

Bazo (and others) that seem swayed by one last bonus. Are these Ike £50k bonuses or such? |

For me it’s a significant % of my salary to not throw it away (& for transparency I don’t earn £50k in a year) but if I’m 50% of the year giving the shit I would like to have the pay off.

lol. No. But as gg says about 10-12% in recent years. Worth hanging about for. Essentially it’s a bit like deferred and non pensionable salary. |

Sigh
My net bonus in the final few years of work was circa £12k, well worth hanging on for. I was also surprised to receive £5.5k this year as a pro-rata for the few months of the final 'work year' I'd done - my ex-boss told me "You totally deserved it, it took a while but I was not taking no for an answer!" - without someone fighting your corner, you've got no chance once you've left these corporate places.
