Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

A friend took his family to that London over half term a year or two back to do some sightseeing and, when I looked at his strava feed, instead of a typical tourist run round Hyde Park, there was a whole set of photos of familiar sounding street signs. He had successfully completed the Monopoly Run, which involves visiting every street on the Monopoly Board. The run also includes the four stations and suitable buildings to represent each of the other squares.

Ever since I learned about it, it has been firmly on my to do list. Obviously it's not going to happen in 2020, but I will be looking for an opportunity.

The original run seems to have been devised by someone at Serpentine Running Club and I'll put details in the sidebar.

Has anyone done it? Any tips, other than "start early"?

Yes, years ago (9 in fact) I did this run with Mrs Winkle, Garfield, John66, Magpie Rob and K8.
So long ago that any tips I might have had may no longer be useful. It's a fun thing to do.

[ Idly wonders how far it would be to do them in order .... ]

There's just been a Salisbury version released, may have to look at that and see how far it would be to run the board.

The Serpies route looks more efficient than mine - I took about 18 miles to do it.

I did the stag do version over 20 years ago - have a drink in a pub on each of the streets plus the 4 stations.

Never used a one day travel card as much as that day.!

Not much running happened though ;-)
