OK - this years Competition.

The Roolz

1. Begins on March 31st. This gives you 2 weeks to buy your seeds, soils, pots and fertilizers.
2. Biggest wins on September 15th
3. Pictures posted once a month for comparison purposes
4. Photos of disaster must be posted so the rest of us can laugh/provide support and feel better about our own feeble attempts

Having read up on how to grow giant sunflowers I have discovered that I am at a distinct disadvantage as I have the *wrong* soil :-( I shall still have a go at growing some though :-)

5. All forms of growing aids are allowed. There's no drug testing in this competition so if you find the Lance Armstrong of Sunflowers - grow it and win !

6. Bigleggy always wins ;-)
7. As the national flower of Ukraine is the Sunflower, the Russian Giant variety is banned.
