mandymoo, how was your long run?
katie how's the calf?
how's everybody else doing- guessing lots of final long runs being done this weekend? I did 13 miles yesterday split into a number of sections (parkrun and then was testing out a new relay format so did 3 legs of between 2 and 4 miles with an hour or so in the car in between- quite a tough way of doing it!). they were all pain free and don't seem to have made my hip any worse, so I'm leaning towards doing paris marathon. which will be my last long run for London, as I've only done one 20 mile and it was weeks ago!
I've also kind of thought- yes London is very important, especially after having to defer last year, but my mum will only run her first marathon once and to run it with her will be pretty magic. so yeah. I'll be on the start line of London one way or another!

I managed a parkrun yesterday and then a 7 miler today. Felt good so will probably do a couple of hours or so either Tuesday or Wednesday as my last long run.
Sounds good C-s.

Sounding very positive CS and Sombrero.
I ran from Glasgow to Edinburgh yesterday. It was nice to see quite a few Fetchies. My legs were pretty sore yesterday but not bad at all today.

Hello all. Running with your mum on her first marathon will be fab.
Did manage 20 yesterday - it hurt like hell and was very slow. Mentally feel stronger now and I know I will get around London on way or another.
Amy daughter and grandson will be coming up to watch so that will really help me. Hubby has to work 😡 and a good mate of mine will be there too

3rd and last 20 mile run done today - it was unbelievably hot so my face is a bit like a belisha beacon at the moment.
Time to taper

Hello all. Calf is improving, not painful to walk on, heel raise or gentle jog in the house. Not going to risk running yet. I thought of you, Rosehip, as I biked through Old Warden.
Well done all on the final long runs, I wish I could have joined you but I need to be sensible if I'm to make it to the start. with you in spirit.
