Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

You'll do it though, Carp. If I can, you can, and I'm not the world's most diligent at anything really. We'll get there. :-)

Well done fleecy 😊 and welcome Kath 🤗

I'm really struggling with my e-portfolio. I've managed to get some guidines from the tutor so feel like I'm more on track. However we've been told it's not really an essay more of a collection of 'data'. It's on integrated care but has to follow a patients journey. We all have chosen a patient we've worked with so it's a bit difficult trying to not bring 'ourselves' into it. I think I need to get some feedback on what I've done so far as I don't want to get too far into it and have change it all. It's a 3500 word limit and from how things are progressing it might be difficult to keep the word count low enough.

Found out my last placement is on the haematology oncology ward too so this is where I'll be having my final assessments done. I'm very nervous about this but also feeling a bit wary as I've done a bank shift there before and the staff weren't particularly 'nice'. I'm hoping that shift was a one off situation. Apart from that I'm happy as it has links to palliative care which I'm interested in. It's strange to think if I pass everything next summer I'll be a registered nurse associate!

I have some issues with my exam results being screwed up on the recording system but I'm hoping it's in the process of being sorted as until a few weeks ago it was even saying I didn't have enough credit to progress to the next year despite two 100% a 74% & 68%! One of my exams has been marked as a second attempt which is wrong as I haven't done any second attempts so that has been capped at 40% 🙁 I'm sure it will get sorted eventually but it's been going on since August/September ish.

That sounds like a lot. Are you in direct contact with Registry about the exam results. They would be the people to sort it out and should do it immediately if it's uncontroversial.

Have you been specifically told you can't bring yourselves into the e-portfolio? Sometimes it is appropriate to do that.

Good luck with the rest - you're doing great.

No I'm not I'm just speaking with my personal tutor. Still waiting for a reply from Wednesday though.

I'll email about the e-portfolio sometimes it's just conflicting the way we get told things and sometimes they can be left open to interpretation. I know it's a collection of data which makes it sound like it needs to be 'factual' however the fact that it's our patients journey means there has to be an element of personal involvement. I will ask for feedback

Thanks 😊

It does sound like a lot. A portfolio often includes more personal involvement than an essay.

I hope the final placement staff are lovely. It makes such a difference.

It was as I suspected too much of me and enough 'factual' stuff. Oh well at least I know and submission date is still a few weeks away yet 😕
