Well done, Happy. Hope you're OK, Louise. As a parent, we're in one of the highest areas of infection despite bubbles (lots of mixed out of school activities anyway), I'm relieved that T10 had it lightly over Christmas so he's low risk of giving or receiving! |

HappyG(rrr) You're over the biggest barrier, the one marked, ' I can do this!' I believe your motivation will awake that in your students/learners/insert current name - and they will start to invest in the idea that learning really *is* for them. ![]() |

Had our tutor training last night. Nearly 3 hours with about 10 trainees and 4 folk from VTO. Bit scary, the safeguarding and vulnerable kids stuff. Also, fellow trainees included professor of Physics, real lecturers and teachers, retired or changed professions, students of psychology and all sorts. So I felt a bit like the least qualified. Actually there were a couple like me just "normal" workers who wanted to give a bit back. So, could be assigned a young person to help within a few weeks. Still don't know what subject or level yet! ![]() |

We've got to the point where we're all (staff and pupils) LF Testing daily. Unofficially, there's a game going round, Guess which member of staff hasn't caught it yet... Several are on their second round of Covid. No parents or other visitors are currently allowed in the building, and we're trying to keep children in bubbles without actually having bubbles. I'm a governor in another school. We were so short-staffed yesterday that instead of going to the other school for the education sub committee meeting I had to do it remotely from the medical room, where I was the only cover for the afternoon.

I wondered why one of the local supply agencies has been contacting me to go back into the classroom. Now I understand. The answer was no thank you, of course.
