After seeing them first, I was looking for other armoured things, other exotic animals (what, no echidna?!), before spotting the tortoise and realising what was going on. I imagine the puzzle setter (Joel Fagliano) is either some young kid fresh out of college without much general knowledge, or some daft old duffer going "ah, this'll do"!
