Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I rejected the session on offer at track this morning as it involved ...

... jog back recoveries.

NO! JUST NO!

I think I don't like efforts and recoveries, but I enjoy them once I've started and I love having done them and looking at the patterns when I upload the training. I'm going to do them every week in October.

OK so I’m ready to think ahead to October. I’d like to continue my goal of being social and pushing outside of my comfort zone (socially but also in terms of my paddling and biking). My project for October (which I’ve kind of started) is to decorate my hallway. It’s a big job but since I can’t visit family or have my boy home I am going to make use of my annual leave to get it done.

So this is what I did this morning instead of 8 x (sprint 50 - jog back 100)

4 x (Sprint 150 -walk on 50m - sprint 100) 4-5 mins between sets

That sounds like a session that would need long recoveries between sets, Sharkie. Is it hard to pace 150, with it not being a race distance?

Not really V-rap - sprinters run loads of 150s in training - it's marked on most tracks and is occasionally raced. But - along with 300m - not often.

This morning I was using the back straight mainly, misjudged my second 150 and only ran 100. That meant the second part of the pair HAD to be 150. Much harder!

Sorry folks - this is all blog stuff really, am just being self indulgent (mememememememe) :-)
