Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I come cap in hand seeking guidance. I want to copy an XLOOKUP down a column changing the lookup_value on each row but keeping the same lookup_array and return_array each time. It should be pretty straighforward but when I try to copy and paste, or drag the formula down the column, the lookup_array and return_array both increment by one on each row.

How do I stop that happening? I've googled myself to dizziness.

Fix the references - put a dollar sign before the column and row. Eg $A$2:$A$20 rather than A2:A20.

Not actually Excel but kinda Excel-adjacent...

Anyone know how (if it is indeed possible) to change an MS Lists column type?

Specifically how to change "test" to "multiple lines of text"

I'm not adept with Lists (wrestling with a US date format issue atm), but if changing the type so drastically would it not be possible to just add a new column, move the data, then delete the test column?

I'm sure people with better knowledge will be along presently.

No, I think that's exactly the way to do it, unfortunately.

MS List date handling is massively poor.

Well, I've never used MS Lists, but those nice people at MS say "You can change an existing Single line of text column to a Multiple lines of text column without losing any data stored in the column already."

Seemingly by clicking on the arrow by the column and selecting 'change column type', but I gues that's not working?
