Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Great work of fiction though sometimes.

Curly, I was hoping that someone sensible would answer your question. What sort of formula are you thinking of? Isn't it possible to put a filter into the Pivot setup that would do the same as the formula?

I like planning, it's much easier and more fun than actually doing something. it's when you start the doing that it all starts going wrong. A successful project is one that is abandoned before it's begun*

Hey Curly - could create a Measure with the differences and then use SWITCH or IF in the measure

Sorry for all the responses. Am trying to do multiple tasks at the same time.....Curly the DAX IF function will work like an EXCEL IF. If you have multiple case statements then use SWITCH. Am hoping this all makes sense.

Thanks R F. Hadn't thought of doing it in DAX duh! Can calculate inside the model and display on the excel sheet view. Nice.

I like it, but it depends on the inputs being set up properly. Don't believe the hype about it solving all your data problems is all I will say.

Tableau? That's cos Academia gets it free.....But it is darn expensive to companies. Power Pivot + all the other Power tools do just as good a job and are built into Excel.
