I think the routes of the day of the day are often a few months behind, um. The ones of mine that appeared in September were taken in June while I was on holiday.

I hadn’t been saying that, Chrisity, but probably will every time now! 😜😂

I've just been through the candidates, and have just added one on to the end of the ROTD stack, which is scheduled for 19th Feb 2022, which is 128 days worth. There have been so many lovely ones.

I've recently started trying to be a bit more discerning - like rejecting those with any form of letterboxing, or blurriness, or any doubt that the people in the photo aren't aware they're going to be a route of the day.

Some of mine took a couple attempts, Lip Gloss, so it’s worth trying again if you have the time.

What's letterboxing Fetch? I'm not sure I want to google it ...
Is it 'panoramic' shots, ie wide and short? So I (or we) shouldn't submit ones like this?

I know this one! Well part of it at least.
We walked from Auchterarder through the yett and descended into Glendevon and returned the same route after a bite to eat and a welcome pint of Thrappledouser in the 18th century Tormaukin Inn.

Lovely route apart from the section at Coulls farm that went through a field of cows!

@um - I was referring to the empty bars above and below pictures - so yes, it's all about the aspect ratio (although sometimes it's because someone could maybe have hit the 'zoom in' button one more time).
