How is your personal Riegel value calculated on this site? Is it solely based on PBs, or does it look at recent results?

Thank Mykey. I know about the equation, just wondering whether the personal riegel value you get on the link below is solely linked to PBs, or if it looks at recent results. http://www.fetcheveryone.com/training-calculators-riegel.php I'm just wondering what happens if your PBs aren't representative at longer distances (or for that matter at short distances). |

"This calculator looks at all your PBs" so I guess it all PBs rather than the recent results. I suggest you Fmail Fetch via feedback and he might be able to modify it so you can just look at the most recent results. I don't race enough across all the distances regularly to worry about it too much. |

It's pretty old - it looks at the relationship between every pair of PB's that you have. As such, it can be skewed by one bad relationship. Pinch of salt required, and a revisit from me - when I can ![]() |

You can modify it yourself, so I suppose I could do that. Would be good if it was a prediction based on recent form though. I'll send feedback |

X-post. No feedback required. My problem is mainly due to not racing over5km since 2009. |

I've played with the Riegel Value and got it working better for me so it's all good.

The calculator used to tell you what Riegel value it was using for calculations. Can this be added back? Also it seems to default back to the automatic value once you come out of it...
