Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Anna, I have been considering both the 50 and the 100 for the last couple of years. But i think I'm going to do the Across Wales again instead of the 50 this year. The 100 next year is defintely being considered.

Excellent TMW. Are you doing it then?

Looks like we could get a few fetchies there this year and next... :-)

By the way, they mention that it would be good to have GPS for finding the route (Lakes, not Ridgeway). Any recommendations?

probably not Anna, I will most likely be recovering from GUC.

I don't think I will have enough time to recce it anyway (my mate's report highlights the importance of recceing it)

Ah, the recce's something I hadn't considered fully TMW. How's the training going for GUC? That's sort of tentatively on my future to-do list.

Thanks for the Garmin suggestions flanker. Payday tomorrow so I might do a fair bit of ultra shopping this weekend! ;-)

With regards to Garmins, am I right in thinking that you can tell the garmin your route before you go and it will give directions? Do ultra organisers send something that you download and put onto the garmin? I'm a bit new to this new-fangled mapping technology stuff.

I plotted the ridgeway and loaded it onto 3 Garmins last year. Works a treat provided you remember to look at it.
