Well, the hill it climbs tops out at 176m and I reckon the paths they'll use will stop a little short of the top, and the normal start elevation is about 70-80m above sea level, so it will be 150m cumulative over both laps I expect.

This weekend I’ve visited Sutcliffe parkrun in Greenwich for the first time. Three very flat laps on excellent tarmac. Maybe not the most scenic location, but a fun fast course that could be a PB opportunity. I’m now at 43 venues out of 62 on my slow crawl towards LonDone. As usual, I’ve prepared a venue write up and video highlights, if you are curious about the location. Write up: ingoruns.com Video highlights: |

Hello larkim I’m planning at being at Delamere this weekend. Any idea which course is being used and whether I need to pack trail shoes? Thanks in advance.

bish I *think* it's still the same course as normal, around the lake - they've not updated the news page since the announcement in last week's run report. I would say Delamere doesn't need trail shoes in general; some people like to wear them though. I always just rock up in normal road shoes though unless it's snowy or icy. I'd do the same if the course was changed too. Enjoy! I won't be there this weekend; actually, it's been a few weeks since I ran Delamere! |

Thanks larkim I wondered if you had any inside knowledge! Sounds like my local at Gedling - road shoes it is then.

Sadly no inside knowledge, but I do keep a close eye on their socials etc. If I see anything different I'll let you know!

bish rumours that the normal course is blocked based on people walking the forest this afternoon. Though these often get cleared before weekends, so it could be the normal course, or it could be the hilly version tomorrow! Enjoy!

larkim it was the normal course - there had been logging in the first/last km but nothing in the way. I think one of the volunteers said it was the alternative course next week.

Just had a 'mail, informing me that it's the tenth anniversary today of my first parkrun, at Town Moor, Newcastle.
