Wriggling Snake
There 2092 Vegan Parkrunners, there are 5,000,000 registered parkrunners, of which 1,800,00 have never run. I would think the egg money will keep coming in. By all means keep complaining though. The happy Egg website has a tasty looking eggy bread recipe for the 4,997,908 registered Parkrunners who might be interested. thehappyegg.co.uk |

Your comparing global parkrun figures to UK figures. This is a parkrun UK partnership, so use UK figures. |

I can't stomach eggs, which for a runner needing protein, can be problematic

As others have said, the partnership with vitality has always been the one that has made me uneasy, but it hasn't stopped me parkrunning.. In other news our new local parkrun has publicly thanked two local running clubs for their help, but no mention of our club, who by my count have about 6 regular volunteers, but obviously not deserving of a mention. |

Bonners my bet is on innocent error rather than deliberate snub.

I have a problem with an organisation like parkrun partnering with Vitality and the Happy Egg Co. I just think it is morally and ethically wrong on so many levels and I now have a difficult decision to make.

I'm surprised by the egg tie-up as it's bound to be controversial but tbh my main concern is - please, no more binning of perfectly serviceable kit because it says the wrong sponsor on it.

That is a shame bonners. I think we only thank clubs that do a full takeover of the volunteering roles in a week. Giving thanks to a particular club at any other time is going to be a snub to others.

As Daisy said, don't think it was deliberate, but what is slightly miffing is the fact that they've been struggling for volunteers and it seems to be people from our club who have stepped up. The mentioned clubs seem to have helped for a couple of weeks and then gradually disappeared, whereas our club has been regularly helping for years at the other local parkrun and now this one.

Don’t see the issue with Vitality myself. My wife gets their cover and gym membership funded by work, she has got a free garmin, Apple Watch, Starbucks, lots of other stash out of them. Costing her nothing. All encouraging and reward- based exercise will respond well with a human audience
